SEATTLE (Reuters) - MSNBC.com, the eight-year-old online news Web site joint venture between Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) and NBC News, will post its first profit in the latest quarter, the world's largest software maker said on Monday
The online news Web site, launched in 1996 along with cable news channel MSNBC in the early days of the Internet boom, posted record revenue of more than $45 million in the past year, helping push MSNBC.com into the black in the June quarter.
