Дресс-код, как часть корпоративного этикета(для программистов)?

У нас отдел кадров раздает всем новым сотрудникам рассылает памятки о том, что где находится в здании, как чем пользоваться и т.п. Там есть глава о дресс-коде. Компания - консалтинговая.
Вот эта глава (извините, что на английском, лень переводить) но суть изложена очень верно:

The dress code at <company name> is business casual. Business casual decreases the level of formality found with strict business attire, but it still projects a professional image. There are times when the day’s activities may call for more formal attire, such as when meeting with visitors or when clients are in the office. All employees should use discretion in wearing attire that is appropriate for their daily office activities. Business attire is also acceptable on a day to day basis if that is your preference.

Inappropriate attire includes jeans (except on designated casual days), jogging pants, running shoes, and clothing that shows too much skin, such as short skirts or plunging necklines.

When at the client site, employees should dress as the client dresses or one notch above. You should blend in with the client’s environment; however, remember that you are still representing <company name>, so dressing slightly above what is appropriate at the client site will project a more professional image.

In all cases, use your judgment and inquire if you have any doubts.


P.S. Как-то работал в одной чисто-девелоперской конторе. Так у них - целый этаж без перегородок и кубиклов. Только столы, стулья, компы, бильярд, фузбол, автоматы со снедью и напитками. Какой там может быть дресс-код? Но имиджу компании это не мешало - клиенты все в интернете
