nunomaia: Importing Portuguese Post Codes

Some times functional consultants ask me for a dataport to insert Portuguese post code.


In http://dynamicsuser.net/files/folders/nav_...entry88751.aspx there is a Navision dataport to import Portuguese Post Codes. Since periodically are created/updates post codes, this dataport also inserts new post codes available in file.


1 – Download Portuguese Post Code from Portuguese Post Office http://www.ctt.pt/contents/Downloads/todos_cp.zip


2 – There are several files inside ZIP is only needed todos_cp.txt


3 – You must convert text file code page to Navision understand Portuguese characters


Convert Encoding from Windows-1252 to IBM860 using a tool available from http://dynamicsuser.net/files/folders/nav_...entry84404.aspx


4 – Import file using dataport “Import CTT Post Codes”
