The Connector for Microsoft Dynamics Feature Pack 5 provides an integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 (minimum Update Rollup #5) or Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 SP1.
The downloadable Connector on this web page is specifically designed to integrate Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 or Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 SP1.

Overview

The Connector for Microsoft Dynamics is an integration solution which is targeted specifically at the Microsoft Dynamics family of products.
The primary emphasis of the Connector is that of simplicity and ease of use while providing highly reliable and fault tolerant business document integration between Dynamics family products.
The Connector for Microsoft Dynamics SDK contains documentation, templates, and sample code to help third party developers and partners who want to extend the functionality of the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics.


Ordering

The Connector for Microsoft Dynamics is now included in Dynamics BRL Advanced Management Foundation Pack.
To activate the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics AX AM BRL, access your VOICE account where a Registration key is provided to enable activation of the connector in the Adaptor section of your VOICE account.

System Requirements

1. Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 SP1.
2. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 Hotfix for KB2414338.
3. Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 AIF Web Services.
4. Configure IIS 7 to host WCF Services (only required if installing the AIF on Windows Server 2008)
5. Import ConnectorForMicrosoftDynamics.xpo file.
6. AIF Web Site added.
7. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 with minimum of Update Rollup 5 or Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 must be installed.

Installation Instructions

1. Download and review the MSDAdapterFP5 - AX Known Issues.docx document.
2. Download and review the ConnectorForMicrosoftDynamicsFeaturePack5.pdf.
3. Download and install Update Rollup 5 or the latest patch release for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 (only if using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0).
4. Download and install the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics AX.msi.
5. Refer to the ConnectorForMicrosoftDynamicsFeaturePack5.pdf for steps to configure AX2009 to work with Connector for Microsoft Dynamics.
6. Refer to the ConnectorForMicrosoftDynamicsAXFeaturePack5.pdf for steps to help get existing data synchronized.
7. If you have an existing version of the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics installed, you can install the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics Feature Pack 5 without first uninstalling the existing version.
8. Note: To ensure proper integration, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics AX must be in the same locale (with the same base language, base currency, and other base field values).
