от 27-Jul-10 заточен под Hotfix Rollup 5
под Rollup 6 обновление HRP ожидается.

Спасибо за наводки, буду разбираться. Как появится какой-нибудь результат обязательно сообщу .

Possible cause #2: The batch server defined for running the upgrade job is not running.

Solution: Open the Server configuration form (Administration > Setup > Server configuration). Verify that Is Batch Server is marked for the AOS instance that is running the upgrade.

И в самом деле у меня для пакетной группы Data updgrade не был выбран АОС. Честно говоря, такой засады я просто не ожидал -- даже на "древней" AX 4.0 джобы по обновлению данных после апгрейда запускались при любом раскладе .

upd: получилось, проблема была в настройках пакетной обработки.
